Easy Street Tacos with Recipe-Ready Meats

These easy street tacos are built with Denmark Foods Recipe-Ready seasoned meats and finished with a crunchy cabbage slaw and a simple creamy sauce. Bold, fresh, and weeknight-friendly, they’re perfect for quick dinners or casual taco nights with plenty of build-your-own appeal.

INGREDIENTS

For the Tacos
  • 1 lb Denmark Foods Recipe-Ready seasoned meat
    (Diced Pork Al Pastor, Pollo Asado Seasoned Diced Chicken, or Carne Asada Seasoned Diced Beef)
  • 12 small flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons oil, for cooking
Simple Slaw
  • 1½ cups shredded green and purple cabbage
  • ½ cup shredded carrots
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • Salt, to taste
Creamy Taco Sauce
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons salsa or hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
For Serving
  • Fresh cilantro leaves
  • Lime wedges

DIRECTIONS

  1. Make the slaw: In a medium bowl, toss cabbage, carrots, cilantro, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Set aside to soften slightly.
  2. Mix the sauce: Stir together sour cream, salsa or hot sauce, and lime juice until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Cook the meat: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add oil. Add the Recipe-Ready seasoned meat, cooking in batches if needed. Cook until browned and slightly caramelized. 
  4. Warm the tortillas: Heat tortillas in a dry skillet or wrapped in foil until soft and warm.
  5. Assemble the tacos: Fill tortillas with seasoned meat, top with slaw, drizzle with creamy sauce, and finish with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy.
